Day 19 {31 Days of Grace}: Give me GRACE today?

My favorite thing so far about this 31 days of grace series is I have become a better blogger, meaning I write more often. I really am enjoying the process and what I am learning through it.
Somehow, though, it still takes me forever to write a post I am satisfied with enough to hit "publish."

Tonight, at almost midnight, I am not sure I have it in me to stay up much longer.  The words aren't coming very easily and I am just not sure what to write about. Can you give me grace to not write about grace today?

I think a list may be just the thing tonight; some things I noticed today - reminders I got about random things. So here they are...

  • We all need to be "filled;" God made us for community and he created us with certain attributes and needs.  We all long for a pat on the back every now and then.  I got some great ones at an award dinner tonight and it was an amazing feeling to be recognized.
  • Time flies by! Not that this is news to me or any of you, but it can really shock you sometimes when you look back. My son has a preschool photo project due Friday called "All about Me." Looking through pictures for that project has made me nostalgic for his baby days; how can my baby be starting Kindergarten in the Fall?!
  • Owning the things about ourselves that we aren't proud of, or are even embarrassed by, can be extremely freeing. It takes a lot of energy to constantly be "on your best behavior" or try to look like you have it all together. Simply admitting that you don't have it all together or that you have a problem with being on time (for example), can make you feel better.
  • A little motivation goes a long way! Today was trying and long, but the recognition I received has motivated me in more than one way to keep going: in my business, in my very full and hectic week with the family, in my diet and exercise efforts (which I haven't spoken of in this forum for quite some time).
And after writing this list, I realize I did just write about grace.  For Grace is here in all of these things...
  • learning to graciously accept recognition from others
  • asking God to help me parent with grace as my children grow up right before my eyes
  • the grace of self-acceptance and knowing I am special simply because He made me
  • again, grace to self in the coming week and accepting that some things may not get done because I am not super-woman and that is ok.
Merriam-Webster.com says Grace is this:
an unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification
Unmerited! Isn't that the truth?

How many things in this life would not exist if Grace had never been given?

This is another of our choir songs that I just love {verse 3 especially}.

"Grace, how can it be..."

My prayer is that we recognize ALL is grace!

I'll admit, it took me a while to understand this phrase, "All is grace," but I get it now.

I hope you get it too.

So very true, friend. So very true! Glad you're pressing on through this process.=)
